Music Is My Life!

Welcome to the seductive world of Dark Electronic music. Through this blog, I hope to demystify Dark Electronic music and its scene, including some of the various sub-genres such as Industrial, EBM (Electronic Body Music), and Noise. To help you discover this diverse and interesting style of music, I will be sharing with you various song clips and music videos, as well as interviews with musicians, fashion designers, and store owners. I will also draw upon my own experiences as a DJ and fan of this supremely addictive genre of music.


So who am I to be guiding you through the dimly-lit corridor that leads from commercial radio to the dark underground that awaits your virgin ears? I am a DJ from Ottawa, ON, Canada, and have been in what can be called the Dark Electronic scene for several years.


I have had the opportunity to travel from Toronto to Montreal, going to some of the largest events this genre has to offer, including Kinetik, Kinetik 2.0, EBM Fest, The Ottawa Fetish Ball, and Re-Vamp, just to name a few. I have also had the pleasure of meeting some of the most sought-after bands that grace the scene and, of course, I've also made a few friends along the way.


Since I am not only a DJ, but also a huge fan of this amazing genre of music and its equally misunderstood scene, I like to keep up to date with events, new music releases, fashions, and anything else pertaining to this enigma that is Dark Electronic music.
